Contactless Service:
We operate fully contactless and we’re here for you 8am-10pm est via phone or text. Staff is on site part time & we incorporate 24 hour security monitoring for your safety and well being. If you do not feel comfortable with this operating style, please consider booking elsewhere as we only want guests to have a meaningful experience.
Digital Registration:
Before your room number & door code to enter are provided, we require an uploaded valid government issued ID by the guest booking the room. You'll receive a link via text to upload your ID, which is simple and straight forward.
Arrival Day:
Approximately 3 days before your stay, you'll receive your room number, door code, and pertinent Lodge & surrounding area details, as long as your registration is complete. The Lodge is accessible using smart lock door systems.
Last-Minute:
For last-minute reservations, the process is the same. Simply complete the registration online.
Guest Link:
The Guest Link is sent upon your booking confirmation, & conveniently provides all pertinent information on your stay & the Lodge at your finger tips. Communication via phone/email/text is simple with the touch of a button.
Digital Guidebook:
Our digital guidebook is included in the Guest Link & comes via text message. It includes information to help you plan your stay, activities, top trails, news, weather, restaurants & more.
For "Standard" or "Flexible" Reservations:
No Charge - If cancelled more than 7 days before check-in. For example, if check-in day is the 10th of the month, then cancellation needs to happen by 11:59pm EST on the 2nd of that month.
Full Charge - If canceled less than 7 days prior to arrival date, the entire reservation amount is due and will be charged, no exceptions.
For "Non-Refundable" & Weekly Discounts:
Full Charge - No Refunds, no exceptions
Travel Insurance is highly recommended.
Maximum Number of Guests:
Each room has a maximum number of guests allowed overnight included in the reservation. Should you wish to exceed this maximum number, please add the additional guests to the room & pay the surcharge. Exceeding the number of guests on your reservation and/or exceeding the maximum number of guests allowed in the room will result in immediate termination of the rental agreement & will be charged the full amount of the reservation.
Minimum Guest Age:
21 is the minimum age to book a reservation
Smoking:
No smoking allowed in rooms, common areas, decking & hallways. Minimum cleaning charge of $250 for any violation.
Damage:
You are liable for any damage caused by you or any person in your party, whether or not staying at the Lodge during your stay. We reserve the right to retain your credit card and/or debit card details as presented at registration and charge your card in such amounts as we shall, in our sole discretion, deem necessary to make good the cost or expenses incurred or suffered by the Lodge as a result. If the damage comes to light after departure, you authorize us to charge your card for any damage incurred during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc. We will make every effort to rectify any damage as cost-effectively as possible. Damage discovered after check-out: Guest Rooms found with waste scattered around, in complete disorder, and/or “trashed” will be subject to a $250.00 maintenance deep cleaning fee in addition to any other costs incurred. Damage to the room: Damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishing, and equipment, including the removal of equipment, towels, bedding, artwork, etc. will be charged at 200% of full and new replacement value plus any shipping and handling charges.
Right to refuse service
The Lodge at Mount Mitchell is privately owned and operated. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason that does not violate Federal or State laws. We have a zero-tolerance policy in which we will refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodations in any of our units, or may remove a person, without refund, who refuses to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by local, state and federal law, or those of the owners for the operation and management of the Lodge. The Lodge at Mount Mitchell will refuse service or evict a guest for any of the following reasons, but not limited to, refusal/failure to pay for accommodations; being under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other intoxicating substance; acting in a disorderly fashion; being unable to properly supervise their children at all times; seeking to bring into the accommodations a firearm, or any explosive or hazardous or toxic substance, that is unlawful to possess; destroys, damages, defaces, or threatens harm to resort property, its employees, contractors or guests; causes or permits persons to exceed the maximum allowable occupancy of a room; refuses to abide by the standards or policies established by The Lodge at Mount Mitchell.
We accept credit cards as our sole form of payment. Credit card information is entered by the guest online. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Diners Club, & Discover.
We have several dog friendly rooms. Dogs must be notated on the reservation. Our pet fee is $59/pet/reservation. We allow up to 2 dogs in a room, which would include a $59/pet fee. Guests are responsbile for their dogs & for the condition of the rooms, including furniture, flooring, and bedding. Dogs are not allowed on the beds or furniture. Any damage, shedding, etc will be covered by the guest.
